Staffordshire Chess Association County Cup Tournaments
The Staffordshire Chess Association run 4 team competitions :
The Hickman Cup (Open) - Played over 6 boards with no grade limit.
The Gothard Cup (U161) - Played over 4 boards and with an individual grade limit of 160.
The Jackson Cup (U141) - Played over 4 boards and with an individual grade limit of 140.
The Withnall Trophy (U121) - Played over 4 boards and with an individual grade limit of 120.

The FIDE Laws Of Chess, as from 1st July 2017, can be found here.
Starting in the 2017/2018 season these competitions will be revert to a knock-out format and will be open to all clubs from the Wolverhampton, Cannock and NSDCA Leagues, and any other clubs within the County boundaries, as defined in Article 2 of the County Constitution, and not playing in any of the aforementioned leagues. Entry is free to those clubs paying Staffordshire affiliation fees. All other clubs will be liable to a £5 entry fee. All entries should be submitted to the Tournament Secretary by the 31st October.
